RIGHT PATH - WRONG TRAIN

How do you know if you are on the right path?
I know that I am on the right path when things 'feel' right.
But sometimes you can be on the right path but on the wrong train.

For example, I know a speaker who has been with a particular speaking organization for a few years. He knew he was on the right path because he loved what he was doing and he could see how he was impacting people's lives. However, what he just recently found out was that he was on the wrong train. In other words, in this case he was with the wrong organization. He loved what he was doing but he was making very little money doing it.

His new organization gets him more speaking engagements AND he is making a lot of money. Now he is looking after himself and his family, donating a sizeable amount of money every month to a homeless foundation I work with and impacting people's lives.

I myself was in Network Marketing for 28 years and made very little money. Yet I loved the business. I thought it was a great concept and it is but always only for the company, not its people, where 95% of people don't make money. Everyone stays in based on hype and loyalty. However, I loved the feeling I had, being in that business even though it was contravening my Platinum Rule.

I finally realized I was on the 'Right Path' but on the 'Wrong Train'.

Then I found a business where 95% of people Make Money. In 4 months I quit a high-paying job. In that same 4 months I earned 4 times what I had earned in 28 years of Network Marketing.

What a difference it makes to be on the Right Path AND The Right Train.

THE FRUIT ON YOUR TREE

So how do you know if what you are doing is working or not?

Most people work so hard at their jobs or businesses and never take time to figure out if they are on the right path.

Don't be like the gardener who is so busy pulling weeds and putting in new fertilizer and watering and feeding his plants and trees that he fails to check if he is getting any fruit on his trees.

I am a hard worker so I am always looking at my results.
I regularly step back and ask myself:
Am I getting the results I deserve for all the hard work I am putting in?
Or are my results at least in proportion to my work?

Take a step back and look at your tree.
How long have you been operating that store?
Are you just barely scraping by even though you have been hard at it for the last 5 years?

How long have you been working that moonlighting accounting and book keeping business?
Are the long hours you are putting in between your full time job and that moonlighting business just keeping your head above water?

What about that Network Marketing business of yours?
They sold you on a 2 to 5 year plan and here you are ten years later still no further than when you got started.
Are you caught up in the hype or do you not want to quit because it would disappoint your upline who you are so loyal to?

Be honest with yourself and if it is not working then have the courage to move on.
If you are in a hole and you are still digging, guess what?
The hole is only going to get deeper.

There is only one person you need to be loyal to and that is you.
If you still don't understand this go back and read my last post.

WHERE ARE YOU AT?

That is the question I always pose to myself.
Where am I at?
Is what I am doing working for me?
Or am I all caught up in the hype of what I am working on?
Or am I so loyal to the people I am with that I have forgotten The Platinum Rule?

What is The Platinum Rule?
I must look after myself first before I can look after others.
That is why they tell you on airplanes that if the Oxygen mask falls, first put it on yourself then help your spouse or children or someone else. If you try to put it on them first and you faint, what good are you to them?

Are you looking after you?
Are you working on making all the money you can so you can help others?

I hope you are because that is where it all begins.
Follow the Platinum rule and abundance will start to flow into your life.
